Amiran Gamkrelidze calls on TV stations to release the information through running text that pandemic is not over

Amiran Gamkrelidze, Head of National Center for Diseases Control and Public Health called on TV stations to release the information through a running text that pandemic is not over and defeated yet.

According Gamkrelidze, citizens should not feel at ease and but continue following the recommendations.

“Georgia will not defeat the pandemic on its own. The whole world has to defeat it and the only resource that we have is social distancing, medical face-mask, washing of hands and their disinfection. We do not have either a medicine or vaccine yet. Please, do not feel at ease and claim that Georgia won over the coronavirus that we are free to do everything that we want. No,” Gamkrelidze said.
