EU Integration Committee Chair sees nothing new in EPP resolution aside from biased political assessments

“We have seen nothing new in the EPP resolution except for biased political assessments,” stated Levan Makhashvili, Chair of the Parliamentary European Integration Committee, commenting on the European People’s Party (EPP) resolution.

According to Makhashvili, the resolution merely mirrors previous resolutions in both content and rhetoric.

“It essentially replicates earlier resolutions by the European Parliament, which list several issues that, in their view, should be included in all related documents. We do not pay much attention to it. This will be yet another paper. Calls for sanctions have been voiced before, and this is nothing new. It holds no significance for us, as the resolution is based on lies rather than facts. Once again, we see nothing new in the EPP resolution except for biased political assessments,” he emphasized.

The European People’s Party (EPP) Congress adopted a resolution regarding Georgia on April 30 in Valencia, Spain.
