European Integration Committee Chair views opposition as an alliance of losers

“The conflict in the opposition demonstrates that it is the alliance of losers who fight for lost seats,” said Levan Makhashvili, Chair of the parliamentary European Integration Committee.

According to Makhashvili, the conflict is the fight for egos.

“The fight is for egos; otherwise, nothing is beneficial for society. Which direction this fight takes means nothing to the country, because regrettably, it gives the country nothing. These people chose their path, which is going beyond the constitutional framework and relocating radical processes to the street. Saakashvili and Melia will likely continue street politics that cannot be beneficial for the country,” Makhashvili said.
