European Integration Committee Chair: We will spare no effort to develop and deepen relations with Ukraine

The Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on European Integration, Levan Makhashvili, said that the Georgian government welcomes the reset of relations between Georgia and Ukraine.

“We will spare no effort to give these relations a chance to develop and deepen, but no one is naive. We will approach this process carefully and responsibly. We have a sad experience with Ukraine’s attitudes and steps, and there may be many questions,” he said.

He added that Georgia will closely monitor how sincerely Ukraine is willing to reset relations.

“If there is no hidden agenda, we will support this process,” Makhashvili told the GPB First Channel.
