MP Makhashvili: We hope Luxembourg visit will boost bilateral ties and reset Georgia-EU relations
Chairman of the European Integration Committee, Levan Makhashvili, says that during the visit to the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, a wide range of bilateral relations and existing opportunities in this regard were discussed at a meeting held by the Georgian Parliament delegation at the Luxembourg Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
According to Makhashvili, the meeting also touched upon Georgia-EU relations.
“The Georgian parliamentary delegation had a very constructive meeting at the Luxembourg Ministry of Foreign Affairs. We discussed a wide range of bilateral relations and the opportunities available in this regard, and I stressed the need to use this opportunity. We also had the opportunity to discuss Georgia-EU relations and make the most of the opportunities that exist in Georgia-EU relations to recharge these relations, restore political dialogue, so that our citizens can benefit more from these relations.
We also discussed the current situation in the region, the conflicts in the Black Sea region, the South Caucasus, the wider region, and at the same time, the opportunities, be it trade relations, logistics, transport, energy, or in various directions. We also talked about the next steps. We have planned the next steps and we hope that this visit will contribute to both the expansion and development of bilateral relations, as well as the recharge of Georgia-EU relations,” said Levan Makhashvili.
