As part of their visit to the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, Chair of the Georgian Parliament’s Foreign Relations Committee Nikoloz Samkharadze and Chair of the European Integration Committee Levan Makhashvili held an expanded-format meeting at the Luxembourg Chamber of Deputies.
The meeting was hosted by Chair of the Chamber’s Foreign Affairs Committee Gusty Graas and Chair of the Defence Committee Marc Hansen. Members of various committees of the Luxembourg Chamber of Deputies also took part in the discussions.
The parties reviewed in detail the dynamics of Georgia-EU relations over recent years and discussed future prospects. They emphasized that resetting and revitalizing relations is in the interests of both sides and agreed to continue efforts in this direction.
In addition, Georgian and Luxembourg lawmakers exchanged views on the situation in Georgia’s Russian-occupied regions, as well as political, security, and economic developments in Georgia and the wider Black Sea region.
The meeting also covered a broad range of issues related to bilateral cooperation between Georgia and Luxembourg.
