CEC updates political parties on innovations for municipal elections
For the 2025 municipal elections, the political parties can now submit party lists, as well as mayoral and majoritarian candidates, electronically, the Central Election Commission announced.
According to the CEC, a working meeting was held today at the Commission with representatives of parties registered for the October 4 elections.
“Representatives of the CEC Election Process Management Department provided information about the new features introduced for the 2025 elections.
For the first time in municipal elections, political parties have the opportunity to nominate mayoral and majoritarian candidates electronically. The meeting also covered details related to the use of the electronic platform.
We remind parties registered for the October 4 municipal elections that they must submit party lists, as well as mayoral and city council majoritarian candidates, by September 4,” the CEC stated.
