CEC hosts youngsters in connection with Global Elections Day

In commemoration of the Global Elections Day, the Georgian Central Election Commission (CEC) hosted youngsters at the election administration.

CEC Chair Giorgi Kalandarishvili accentuated the significance of youth engagement in the election process and spoke in detail about the education projects and information campaign, which aim to raise awareness of the importance of elections and all innovations in society.

“This day is another opportunity to demonstrate to the public that elections are not just a technical process, but one of the key tools of democratic life,” Kalandarishvili said.

Global Elections Day has been celebrated annually on the first Thursday of February since 2005.
