The Central Election Commission (CEC) has completed the counting of votes from all 3,061 polling stations in the municipal elections.

According to CEC spokesperson Natia Ioseliani, electronic technologies were successfully used for the second time in municipal elections, enabling the administration to announce preliminary results just one hour and 25 minutes after voting ended.

Ioseliani highlighted that the election process at technological polling stations went smoothly, and it was not necessary to revert to traditional voting methods at any location.

She also reported that 25 complaints have been filed with District Election Commissions.

“The complaints mainly concern violations of photo and video recording rules, the arrangement of polling stations, and voter registration procedures outside polling stations,” Ioseliani said, adding that detailed information is available in the CEC’s online Complaints Register.

The spokesperson thanked election administration staff for their contribution to the modernization of elections and their professional work.

She also reminded that, in accordance with the law, five polling stations will be randomly selected for recounts in each election district, covering both technological and traditional precincts.
