Speaker: All will participate in October's elections scheduled by President Kavelashvili
“October will come, and we will see that everyone will participate in the self-government elections scheduled by President Mikheil Kavelashvili,” the Georgian Parliament Speaker Shalva Papuashvili stated.
He said that the opposition is being directed from abroad and accused it of attempting to harm Georgia’s economy.
“The puppet opposition is entirely controlled from the outside. In recent days, we have seen them visit several capitals and receive instructions. Some have returned, while others are still there. Their statements reveal intentions to undermine the economy and incite terror. For example, Zurab Japaridze’s remarks clearly follow such directives,” Papuashvili said.
Regarding the upcoming elections, he emphasized that the opposition remains dependent on external instructions.
“Ultimately, their political statements hold little significance. October will come, and we will see that everyone will participate in the self-government elections scheduled by the President of Georgia, Mikheil Kavelashvili. These elections will be conducted under the legislation adopted by Parliament and with the Central Election Commission members elected by Parliament,” he concluded.
