Six protesters injured following demonstrations at Tbilisi Mall remain hospitalized

Six individuals who were injured during the protest rally at Tbilisi Mall on the previous day remain hospitalized as of now, undergoing treatment at Ingorokva Clinic and Vivamed Clinic.

Ana Dalakishvili, head of the Emergency Department, informed the GPB First Channel that four injured patients are currently being treated at Ingorokva Clinic, primarily for facial and head injuries.

“Initially, a total of five injured individuals were brought to our facility from the pre-trial detention centre. Most had facial and head injuries, and one had a significant hematoma in the eye socket area. Fortunately, none required surgical intervention. Four patients remain under treatment for concussions, while one was discharged voluntarily,” Dalakishvili reported.

Speaking regarding the patients treated at Vivamed Clinic, clinical director Zurab Chkhaidze stated that they also experienced concussions and were offered hospital treatment.

“Two patients were admitted to our clinic and are undergoing laboratory and instrumental examinations. Thankfully, there are no traumatic injuries or significant fractures. Based on our diagnosis, we have determined that they suffered concussions, and they were recommended to receive hospital care,” Chkhaidze said.
