Over the past three days, officers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs have detained 60 participants of the protest in accordance with the Code of Administrative Offenses for violating the rules governing assemblies and demonstrations, the MIA announced in a statement.

The Ministry stated that patrol police officers had repeatedly called on demonstrators to refrain from illegal actions, noting that the number of participants did not give them the legal right to block the road. However, protesters did not comply with the instructions of law enforcement officers and again blocked the carriageway, disrupting traffic.

“Once again, we call on the participants of the protest to refrain from illegal actions. Otherwise, legal measures defined by law will be applied,” the statement reads.
