A protest rally against Arab investment took place near the former Rustaveli Cinema building, where the office of Arab construction firm Eagle Hills is now located. Four political movements, Sartuli, Georgian Republic, National Consent, and Civil Consent, organised the demonstration. Some participants who daily gather in front of the Parliament building also joined the protest.

The rally participants voiced concerns that the development project could pose risks to national interests. They argued that the government is selling Georgian land to foreign investors, which could lead to a serious demographic crisis for the country. The protesters called for the abandonment of the planned construction.

Organisers distributed a petition opposing Arab investment and have begun collecting signatures. The petition sets out three demands: the disclosure of the investment agreement, the initiation of public discussions about the project, and the cancellation of any construction work without the consent of local citizens. The organisers have announced that protests will continue permanently.

According to the agreement signed between the Georgian government and Eagle Hills, a multi-storey residential complex is planned for construction in Tbilisi and Adjara.
