OSCE offers Belarus to facilitate dialogue in Belarus

“I am proposing that the OSCE becomes a facilitator of the necessary dialogue, to help Belarus out of this situation,” said OSCE Chairperson-in-Office, Prime Minister and Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs of Albania, Edi Rama.

Edi Rama hopes “there will be a positive response to this offer from the Government of Belarus.”

“We truly hope that there is a positive response to this offer from the Government of Belarus. I am ready to make it work – to engage, to listen, to understand and to support, in every possible way I can,” Noted Rama.

Protest rallies in Belarus have started on August 9 after incumbent President Alexander Lukashenko was declared the winner by the Central Election Commission with 80.1% of the votes.
