FM Botchorishvili: OSCE FSC is crucial for us, given Georgia’s occupation challenges

“The chairmanship of the OSCE Forum for Security Co-operation (FSC) presents another valuable opportunity for Georgia to contribute to the organisation’s work,” stated Foreign Minister Maka Botchorishvili after delivering her speech at the OSCE  Forum for Security Co-operation (FSC).

According to her, the OSCE  Forum for Security Co-operation serves as a platform for discussing security challenges.

“The Security Forum is a forum where the primary issues facing the OSCE region are addressed. This international organisation is of great importance to us because Georgia faces significant security challenges related to occupation. It is vital that, within this framework, we consistently highlight issues that matter to us, including the realisation of international norms and the need to uphold international principles that must not be violated. The forum also provides an opportunity to discuss other pressing matters. The ongoing conflict in Ukraine and the war there remain critical challenges for our region. Our agenda will include efforts to foster discussions on these issues,” Botchorishvili explained.

The OSCE Forum for Security Co-operation (FSC) is being held in Vienna, with Georgia serving as the chair.
