Police seize Methadone in large quantity, detain two individuals in Tbilisi

Officers of the Gldani-Nadzaladevi and Isani-Samgori Main Divisions of the Tbilisi Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) detained two foreign nationals on charges of unlawful keeping and selling Methadone drugs.

According to the MIA, law enforcers, through operative investigation activities, seized 43 packs of drugs as evidence during a personal search of the detained individuals.

“The investigation is in progress under Articles 260 and 260-prime of the Criminal Code, which carry a penalty of up to 20 years in prison or life imprisonment,” the MIA said.
