The Secretary General of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe, Feridun Sinirlioğlu, has sent a congratulatory letter to Georgia on the occasion of Georgia’s Independence Day.

In the letter to the Georgian FM Maka Botchorishvili, Sinirlioğlu extended his best wishes to the Georgian people and government, stating that at a decisive moment for European and global security, the OSCE remains a unique platform for inclusive dialogue that promotes constructive engagement, cooperation, and risk reduction. The letter also emphasized the OSCE’s continued support for addressing security-related issues affecting conflict-affected communities in Georgia.

“In this context, your presence in Vienna in connection with Georgia assuming the chairmanship of the Forum for Security Co-operation became an important signal confirming that Georgia remains committed to dialogue, cooperation, and comprehensive security. Within the Geneva International Discussions and the Incident Prevention and Response Mechanism, the OSCE continues to firmly support Georgia in addressing security-related issues affecting conflict-affected communities and in developing practical, people-oriented solutions. The organization continues to highly appreciate Georgia’s support, for which I would like to express my sincere gratitude. I look forward to continuing our cooperation. Excellency, please accept the assurances of my highest consideration,” the letter concluded.
