MIA identifies Turkish nationals wanted by Turkish authorities

Georgian Interior Ministry officers, in cooperation with their Turkish counterparts, have identified several Turkish nationals wanted at the national level by Turkish law enforcement authorities during police operations carried out at multiple locations across Georgia.

All of the individuals are citizens of the Republic of Türkiye and were wanted by Turkish authorities for various categories of offenses, including serious and particularly serious crimes. The relevant legal procedures prescribed by law have been initiated against them.

According to the Interior Ministry, some of the individuals had overstayed their permitted period of stay in Georgia and were residing in the country without a legal basis.

The police operation was preceded by operational and search activities planned in close coordination with Turkish law enforcement agencies.

The Georgian Interior Ministry said its officers actively cooperate with law enforcement agencies of partner countries, including Türkiye, to identify foreign nationals wanted by other countries who are staying in Georgia.
