Protesters on Rustaveli Avenue are throwing pyrotechnics and other objects at the police, the law enforcers use pepper spray and water cannons.
Protesters are regrouping on April 9 Street after each use of water cannons, while some remain near the Tbilisi National Palace of Students and Youth. The entrance door of the building has been damaged, and its windows shattered.
Before deploying water cannons, the Ministry of Internal Affairs issued a warning via a sound signal, urging citizens on Rustaveli Avenue to disperse.
