Parliamentary majority registers resolution on Archil Tutunashvili's death

The parliamentary majority registered a resolution, which imposes responsibility on the Russian Federation for the violation of Archil Tutunashvili’s right to life.

According to the resolution, the Parliament demands immediate transfer of the body to the family and activation of the international human rights and security mechanisms on the occupied territories.

The resolution also calls on the Russian Federation to ensure immediate transfer of Georgian citizens Levan Kutashvili and Ioseb Pavliashvili to the Georgian-controlled territory.

The Parliament will consider the draft Resolution of the Parliament of Georgia on the Life of Georgian Citizen Archil Tatunashvili in Occupied South Ossetia/Tskhinvali region” at the next week’s plenary session.
