MP Tengiz Sharmanashvili criticises French Parliament’s resolution as continuation of false narratives by European Parliament

“The resolution passed by the lower chamber of the French Parliament is merely a continuation of the European Parliament’s actions. We have long since become accustomed to drawing certain conclusions based on false narratives,” stated MP Tengiz Sharmanashvili, a member of the Georgian Dream.

MP Sharmanashvili responded to the resolution adopted by the French lower chamber concerning Georgia.

“This resolution was supported, if not initiated, by former Georgian President Salome Zourabichvili. Once again, she has demonstrated that all her activities, both during her presidency and after, are aimed at taking actions against the Georgian nation. This is very regrettable, indeed, but we are accustomed to it. They have no genuine concern for Georgia.

The narratives within the resolution, alleging Georgia’s regression in various areas, are merely repetitions of previous European Parliament resolutions that lack any substantive evidence. They merely state what they believe to be true. They have no arguments to support their claims, yet they proceed regardless,” Sharmanashvili said.
