NCDC: Number of COVID-19 vaccine takers to rise

The Head of the National Center for Disease Control and Public Health (NCDC), Amiran Gamkrelidze, says the number of COVID-19 vaccine takers is not high, but it will gradually surge.

NCDC Head noted that the Georgian government plans to secure other vaccines as well.

Gamkrelidze added that the negotiations on the Chinese vaccine Sinopharm ended. The talks with the Indian side are underway now.

Georgia received the first batch of 43,200 doses of COVID-19 vaccine through COVAX Facility on March 13.
