According to the National Tourism Administration, international travel receipts reached a record high of nearly $2 billion (USD 1,971.0 million) in January–June 2025, marking a 3.8% year-on-year increase.
Tourism revenues in the first two quarters of 2025 exceeded the same period in 2019 by 35.4%.
In the second quarter alone, international travel receipts rose by 5.0% year-on-year, reaching a record $1,145.0 million.
Significant growth in tourism receipts during January–June was recorded from the following markets:
Israel: Up $66.4 million (37.9%) to $241.9 million
European Union and the United Kingdom: Up $30.7 million (12.5%) to $277.0 million
Azerbaijan: Up $24.1 million (30.7%) to $102.6 million
Saudi Arabia: Up $6.2 million (3.7%) to $173.6 million
Armenia: Up $1.8 million (2.8%) to $66.0 million
“The first half of 2025 marked a historic high in international travel receipts, highlighting Georgia’s growing appeal as a tourist destination,” the National Tourism Administration stated.
