KIU, Training Center for Convicts, signed cooperation memorandum

he Kutaisi International University and the Vocational Training and Retraining Center for Convicts signed a memorandum of cooperation.

KIU Executive Director/Rector Vakhtang Tsagareli and Center Director Tamta Demurishvili inked the document. Deputy Justice Minister Merab Turava, KIU Chancellor Levan Kopaliani and representatives of the Ministry and the University attended the signing ceremony.

The collaboration aims to facilitate internships for students in KIU’s psychology and law programs. The students will train at the center in resocialization and rehabilitation of former convicts, state services and phychological and legal aspects.
