PM sees tourism as strategic pillar of Georgia’s economic development, values close partnership with UN
The Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Kobakhidze, commented on a meeting with Shaikha Nasser Al Nowais, Secretary-General of the United Nations World Tourism Organisation (UNWTO), on his social media.
In a post on the X platform, Irakli Kobakhidze said Georgia values a close partnership with the United Nations in shaping a sustainable, resilient, and globally competitive tourism sector.
“On the sidelines of the World Government Summit 2026, I met with H.E. Shaikha Nasser Al Nowais, Secretary-General of UNWTO. Tourism is a strategic pillar of Georgia’s economic development, and we highly value our close partnership with the United Nations in shaping a sustainable, resilient, and globally competitive tourism sector,” the Prime Minister said in a post.
