Speaker: Donors remain silent on attacks against Georgian society on Rustaveli Avenue for second day

“For the second day, donors don’t consider Georgian society and those attacked on Rustaveli Avenue worthy of a response, condemnation, or disavowal,” writes Shalva Papuashvili, Chairman of the Georgian Parliament.

As he notes, modern-day Rodionovs, armed with tongues sharpened by hatred, blocked the April 9th memorial participants who wanted to pay their respects to those who perished on that day.

“Two days have passed since several NGOs committed an appalling act of violence on Rustaveli Avenue. Modern-day Rodionovs armed with tongues sharpened by hatred blocked April 9th participants at the memorial, those who wanted to pay respects to people who perished on that day.

For the second day, the donors of these NGOs have trampled one of our most sacred days.

For the second day, they don’t consider Georgian society and those attacked on Rustaveli Avenue worthy of a response, condemnation, or disavowal,” writes Papuashvili.
