Speaker: Peter Fischer is retiring: He will no longer harm any nation as he did in case of Georgia-Germany relations 

“As you know, when Peter Fischer (German Ambassador) was recalled to Berlin for consultations by his ministry, he returned with the condition that he would abandon his attacks. Regrettably, he violated this condition,” said Georgian Parliament Speaker Shalva Papuashvili.

According to the Speaker, neither Ambassador Firsher nor his Ministry can meet the promise.

“I do not even rejoice in making remarks on this individual’s hostile attacks. If the Foreign Ministry deems it necessary, it may summon him and hold talks. However, as we know, when Peter Fischer was recalled to Berlin for consultations by his ministry, he returned with the condition that he would abandon his attacks. Regrettably, he violated this condition. Neither Ambassador Firsher nor his Ministry can meet the promise.

I hope that the Foreign Ministry will have an adequate response to hostile attacks on the state and its high-ranking political officials from a representative of a foreign country accredited in Georgia. Mr Peter Fischer will leave Georgia in several weeks. He is retiring, this is good since he will no longer be able to harm any nation as he did in the case of Georgia-Germany relations,” he said.
