PM: Georgian gov't claims of past three years confirmed by direct evidence
“The public now has direct evidence supporting what the Georgian government has been asserting for the past three years, including through recent decisions made by the new US administration,” Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze told journalists in Uzbekistan.
According to PM, if Georgia had joined sanctions or sent volunteer fighters to Ukraine, the situation in the country would be much more difficult than in Ukraine today.
“In reality, what we have been asserting for the past three years is now confirmed by direct evidence, including decisions made by the new US administration. Had we chosen to join the sanctions or send volunteer fighters at that time, the situation in our country would have been drastically different—far more difficult than the current situation in Ukraine. Today, everything is becoming clearer. What was difficult for some to understand 2-3 years ago is much easier to grasp now,” Kobakhidze noted.
