The majority MPs and the PACE Monitoring Committee members held a meeting to discuss the Parliamentary Elections, OSCE/ODIHR recommendations, the current political climate, ongoing protest demonstrations, and opposition strategies, the Parliament’s press office has said.
Following the meeting, Irakli Kirtskhalia, the First Deputy Chair of the Faction “Georgian Dream,” stated that the Georgian MPs provided factual responses to the delegation’s inquiries.
“We consistently emphasize the paramount importance of any monitoring or observation mission. We also welcome the visits of our partner states or political groups to our country, which are committed to ensuring an impartial reflection of all facts and circumstances of our reality. In general, impartiality and truth are fundamental principles to us. We sincerely hope that the report to be developed by the monitoring committee members will reflect impartial and fair facts, that our friends were interested in”, – he stated.
The meeting was also attended by the Majority MPs Tea Tsulukiani, Givi Mikanadze, Rati Ionatamishvili, Zviad Shalamberidze, Levan Machavariani, Mariam Lashkhi and Eka Sepashvili.
