PM: No Surprise in OSCE/ODIHR’s decision amid opposition bullying, expect their presence for 2028 elections
“We are not surprised by the OSCE/ODIHR’s decision not to come to Georgia, given the so-called bullying they faced from the radical opposition and their foreign supporters,” the Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze stated.
According to the Prime Minister, since 2008 the established practice has been to invite OSCE/ODIHR about a month before elections, allowing them to observe the process.
“It is understandable that the organization has refrained from visiting. Nevertheless, we expect their presence for the parliamentary elections in October 2028,” he added.
