Health Minister to observe Covid-19 testing at Enguri Bridge

Georgian Health Minister Ekaterine Tikaradze, Deputy Health Minister Tamar Gabunia and the Regional State Envoy saw the Covid-19 testing of locals at the so-called checkpoint with the occupied Abkhazia region at the Enguri Bridge.

A special waiting room and two tents are set up at the bridge for testing purpose. About 1 200 people arrived from the occupied territory to undergo testing. They will also be able to book Covid-19 jabs.

The Georgian government abolished a 5-day compulsory quarantine for locals from the occupied territory on April 19.
