Health Minister meets Max Foundation CEO

The Minister of Health, Mikheil Sarjveladze, met with Pat Garcia-Gonzalez, Founder and Executive Director of the Max Foundation.

The Max Foundation, an international healthcare organization operating in Georgia since 2003, provides essential medicines to patients with chronic myeloid leukaemia, gastrointestinal stromal tumours, renal cell carcinoma, and other rare cancers, with the support of the Ministry of Health.

During the meeting, they discussed ways to improve access to medications for patients with oncohematological and rare diseases, as well as opportunities to enhance core healthcare services and introduce innovative care models in Georgia.

Minister Sarjveladze thanked the Max Foundation for its significant contribution to Georgia’s healthcare system and emphasized the importance of continued collaboration to improve the quality of medical services.

Pat Garcia-Gonzalez commended the Georgian government’s efforts to implement patient-centered approaches. The parties agreed to strengthen their cooperation further to support the country’s healthcare development.
