Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze met Armenian President Vahagn Khachaturyan in Turkmenistan.
According to the Government Administration, Georgia-Armenia friendly and neighbourly relations, strategic partnership and successful cooperation in various spheres, and ongoing processes in the region were reviewed during the meeting
The significance of peace and stability in the South Caucasus region was underscored. Prime Minister remarked that the joint statement by Armenia and Azerbaijan on the completion of negotiations over a peace agreement was an important step forward.
Irakli Kobakhidze reconfirmed the Georgian government’s readiness to foster dialogue to ensure lasting peace and stability in the region.
Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Mariam Kvrivishvili, and Head of Government Administration Levan Zhorzholiani attended the meeting.
