PM’s annual report: Georgia continues to unwaveringly support Ukraine politically and diplomatically, providing humanitarian assistance

Georgia continued to unwaveringly support Ukraine politically and diplomatically, as well as provide humanitarian assistance within its capabilities, reads the annual report of Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze submitted to the parliament.

The document notes that , against Russian aggression and in support of Ukraine, within the framework of international organizations, Georgia sponsored/supported about 850 resolutions/decisions/declarations/recommendations, and made more than 380 national statements.

Within the framework of the OSCE, Georgia supported the activation of the “Moscow Mechanism” in relation to Russia. Georgia also became a signatory to the Convention establishing the International Complaints Commission for Ukraine.

Georgian Foreign Minister participated in a high-level meeting of the international coalition for the return of Ukrainian children. Georgia participated in the Black Sea Security Conference organized under the aegis of the Crimea International Platform.

In the reporting period, Georgia continued to actively support Ukrainian citizens in Georgia through various social and educational programs. Also, taking into account Ukraine’s energy needs, the Georgian government supplied Ukraine with generators as humanitarian assistance.

The annual report of Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze has been submitted in written form to the parliament. The PM will deliver the report at the end of June, with the exact date to be finalized.
