“Decisions about our homeland and the Georgian people are made only in Georgia – we have achieved this, and no blackmail, no immoral interference, and no emissaries can change that,”  Mamuka Mdinaradze, Executive Secretary of Georgian Dream, wrote on social media.

According to Mdinaradze, Georgia has never been as independent as it is today.

“The history of our homeland is a history of the struggle for independence – it is embedded in our genetic code. Homeland, language, and faith – this triad has become the nation’s core slogan.

Today, we can say many positive things: Georgia has never had such a strong economy, such success in fighting corruption, improving human rights, reducing poverty, developing infrastructure, excelling in sports, and progressing toward European integration. But above all, the most significant achievement is the level of independence we have reached – Georgia has never been as independent as it is today.

This is exactly what irritates our opponents. They are trying to use Georgia for their own purposes, but they have missed their chance. Georgia will never be enslaved!

Decisions about our country are made only here. We have secured this reality, and no outside pressure, no blackmail, and no foreign emissaries can change it. The Georgian spirit ensures that we will continue to strengthen our independence. May 26 is our day – I am proud to be Georgian and proud of Georgia’s independence!” Mdinaradze wrote.
