Georgian Minister of Foreign Affairs Maka Botchorishvili said that agreements signed during the visit to Tajikistan create new opportunities to further deepen the Georgia-Tajikistan relations.
The FM emphasized the Tajik side’s interest in Georgia’s transit potential and the importance of establishing an economic commission format between the two countries.
“Tajikistan is highly interested in Georgia’s transit potential. In the current geopolitical environment, what Georgia is doing is of particular interest to them. Their interest is to transport Tajik cargo through Georgia, and it is very important to develop cooperation in this direction.
An agreement was also signed on the establishment of an economic commission. This is an excellent opportunity to review trade-economic issues institutionally within the economic commission,” she said.
