UNM Political Board Chair: Relations with Russia should be rational, ensuring stability, peace, Georgia’s interests

“We will have rational state policy with the occupant Russia, which will unconditionally ensure stability, peace and defend Georgia’s interests,” wrote Levan Khabeishvili, Chairman of the Political Board of the United National Movement (UNM), on Facebook.

According to Khabeishvili, Georgia is at the historical crossroads since Bidzina Ivanishvili rejected kindness and love and built its regime on hatred, torture, violence and division. He further noted that the violent regime is supported by Russian propaganda.

Khabeishvili believes that Georgians should counter this challenge with a national accord agreement comprising 5+1 points.

“1. Georgia will never legalize same-sex marriage. The family has been and will be the unity of a woman and a man (The European Union has never requested it; it has requested the opposite. Several European Union countries also have laws or constitutions that contain the same provision as mentioned above).

2. The main unificator of people in Georgia, in all times and epochs, has been God and the faith, kindness and tolerance. Our priority will be the protection of cultural heritage, reconstruction and restoration, strengthening theological academies, providing them with infrastructure and financial support. We will support the creation of an opportunity for the Patriarchal institution to provide services to a certain number of convicts during the Christmas and Easter holidays.

3. Numerous citizens of Georgia are escaping from poverty, and an uncountable and uncontrolled number of Russians, Pakistanis, Indians, Iranians, etc. are entering Georgia. The influx of uncontrolled foreign citizens will be unconditionally stopped, and immigration policy will be tightened. In the interests of our state, citizens of foreign countries will be able to visit Georgia without restriction but will not replace Georgian citizens.

4. We will have a rational state policy with occupant Russia, which will unconditionally ensure stability, peace and defending Georgia’s interests worthily.

5. Georgia’s demographic situation is dire; the birth rate decreases while the mortality rate goes up. Against this backdrop, families are falling apart and most of them are saving themselves by emigrating from Georgia. For us, family and reproduction are a priority, and accordingly, marriage, creation of a family, and having children will be financially motivated and secured,” he said.

Levan Khabeishvili states that after addressing these 5 points, Georgia will move onto other significant issues such as European integration, return to the Western vector, correcting the legislative base, ending banking oligarchy, economic wealth and prosperity of people.

“And +1 point: Georgia without Ivaishvili !!! Without fulfilling this point, Georgia will collapse, and this should not be admitted. Provide your viewpoints in the comments and also send me a letter by mail to: Rustavi Penitentiary Institution #12,” Khabeishvili wrote.
