State Minister: Relations with U.S., EU have a common recipe: considering Georgian interests
The relations both with the U.S. and EU and its member states have a common recipe – considering Georgian interests, the rest is possible,” said Mamuka Mdinaradze, State Minister for Coordination with Law Enforcement Agencies.
Mamuka Mdinaradze summed up his visit to the U.S.
“By taking into consideration Georgian, national and identity-related issues, we are ready for friendship with everybody. Our attitude is to put our national interests on the front line. I paid a visit to the U.S. and held serious meetings, and I have nothing to hide. I touched on political issues since there is no intelligence service or organization that disregards politics.
Speaking about this issue, I accentuated that we should not be deprived of the chance to restore territorial integrity or face the problem of physical survival or economic collapse. Nobody should bargain with these issues. Talks over all the rest are possible if Georgian national interests are taken into account. There should be no pressure on the number of population or the size of the country, saying we are not a strong country to compete with 100-million-population countries.
Georgia should not be oppressed. Under such conditions, we will review everything with any country we are in partnership with and will continue to do so with great pleasure,” he said.
