Police detain Azerbaijani citizen in Adjara wanted by Interpol’s Red Notice

Officers of the Patrol Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) detained an Azerbaijani citizen in Adjara wanted by Interpol’s Red Notice.

The detained individual was wanted at the request of Azerbaijani law enforcement agencies on charges of hooliganism and the intentional damage of another person’s property.

Law enforcers detained the wanted individual at the Sarphi customs checkpoint through operative-investigative measures.

Extradition procedures prescribed by law are currently underway regarding the detained individual.
