Parliament approves draft bill “On Government's Structure, Powers and Rules of Activity” in third reading
The Parliament of Georgia approved the draft bill “On Government’s Structure, Powers and Rules of Activity” in the third reading with 84 votes for and 10 against at the plenary sitting.
Based on the proposed amendments, the position of State Minister for Coordination of Law Enforcement Agencies will be introduced. Mamuka Mdinaradze (former head of the State Security Service of Georgia) will take up the post.
As soon as President Mikheil Kavelashvili signs the bill, Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze will appoint Mamuka Mdinaradze to the position.
