Central Election Commission (CEC) Chairman Giorgi Kalandarishvili, together with Deputy Chairman Giorgi Sharabidze and CEC Spokesperson Natia Ioseliani, reviewed the ongoing work and preparations of the Telavi District Election Commission ahead of the 2025 municipal elections.
According to the CEC, Kalandarishvili held a working meeting with the leadership and staff of the Telavi commission, where he was briefed on activities related to the upcoming October 4 elections. The discussions focused on the professional retraining of precinct election commission members, including training stages designed to ensure their readiness both legally and technologically to serve voters effectively on election day.
Kalandarishvili highlighted the crucial role of district commissions in the administration of elections and underlined the importance of voter information initiatives currently underway.
Deputy Chairman Giorgi Sharabidze and Spokesperson Natia Ioseliani also observed the fourth stage of precinct commission training in Telavi, which focused on the use of electronic devices during the voting process. Sharabidze stressed the importance of accurate and thorough implementation of election procedures, noting that such trainings raise the overall professional standard of election administration.
The CEC announced that its leadership will continue to monitor preparations at district election commissions across the country in the lead-up to the municipal elections.
