Bibilov says speculation around Tatunashvili’s death is linked with pre-election campaign in Georgia
One of the reasons for speculation and hysteria around Archil Tatunashvili’s death is the pre-election bitter political struggle in Georgia, – Anatoly Bibilov, de-facto president of the occupied South Ossetia, said.
“Today, there is an acute political struggle against the background of the presidential elections in Georgia. Various political forces are trying to score political points at the expense of populist statements and actions. We know that these points are easily scored through using nationalism and revanchist expressions,” Bibilov said.
According to him, another source of this hysteria is Western curators of Georgia who use human rights organizations to once again demonstrate “South Ossetia” as an occupied region where human rights are systematically violated.
