Defence Minister pledges punishment of Archil Tatunashvili's murderers

“Seven years passed since Archil Tatunashvili’s murder. Tatunashvili is the victim of the occupying regime. His tragedy traumatized but at the same time united the entire Georgia,” wrote Georgian Defence Minister Irakli Chikovani on Facebook.

“I am convinced that with the efforts of our state, justice will prevail and those involved in this cruel crime will be punished with the full severity of the law,” Chikovani said.

Today, 7 years passed since the murder of Archil Tatunashvili, the late Georgian soldier, who was brutally murdered by occupying forces in the occupied Tskhinvali region on February 23, 2018.

His body was repatriated to the central government-administered territory only after about a month with his internal organs removed and more than 100 injuries over his body.
