Economy Minister Mariam Kvrivishvili pays a working visit to Shanghai
Georgia’s Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development, Mariam Kvrivishvili, is in Shanghai, China, on an official working visit.
According to the Ministry of Economy’s press service, high-level bilateral meetings are scheduled as part of the itinerary. The Vice Prime Minister will also attend the official opening ceremony of the China International Import Expo (CIIE).
“Led by Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Mariam Kvrivishvili, we are in Shanghai on a working visit where high-level bilateral meetings will take place with public sector representatives as well as leaders of private corporations. The visit’s primary focus is deepening trade and economic relations. Our objective is to boost export volumes, including to China. Georgia’s traditional participation in the China International Import Expo serves this exact purpose, with our country represented by three pavilions and around 40 companies. This provides a unique platform for Georgian businesses in China’s vast market to establish new commercial and trade ties, thereby increasing exports to this critical destination,” stated Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Irakli Nadareishvili.
The Vice Prime Minister is accompanied by an official delegation comprising Deputy Ministers of Economy and Sustainable Development Irakli Nadareishvili and Tamar Ioseliani, Head of Enterprise Georgia Mikheil Khidureli, Director General of Georgian Railway Lasha Abashidze, and President of the Georgian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Giorgi Pertaia.
