Medical staff of Sachkhere Hospital remains in isolation

About a hundred employees of Sachkhere Hospital have been isolated in the clinic, after when one infectious disease specialist of the clinic diagnosed with COVID-19 – the director of Sachkhere Medical Center said.

According to Mikheil Kamushadze, according to the protocol, the biological samples of the medical staff have been sent to the Lugar laboratory and the results will be known by the end of the day. Until then, doctors are not allowed to leave the clinic due to safety measures.

According to Kamushadze, all contacts have been studied. Samples of family members of the COVID-infected person have been also sent to the laboratory.

The director of the Sachkhere Medical Center says that doctors do not enter patients’ wards without a special protective outfit and the source of the infection will be studied.
The COVID-19 infected doctor is the wife of the mayor of Sachkhere municipality.

At the moment, three patients diagnosed with COVID-19 are placed in Sachkhere Medical Center. Their health condition is stable.
