Interim parliamentary commission to be established into Khorava Street case

Interim parliamentary investigative commission will be established into Khorava Street murder case –  Irakli Kobakhidze, Speaker of the Parliament made the regarding earlier this afternoon.

According to him the verdict announced by the court today raises questions.

“Today, the court has delivered the verdict into the case that is especially painfully for us, involving the murder of two minors. The verdict raised the questions regarding the execution of justice. Investigating of this case is a matter of principle for our team; the Parliament will be directly involved in the investigation. We will do our best to ensure justice. With this purpose, interim parliamentary commission will be established, which will use all available leverage to ensure the execution of justice ”, – Irakli kobakhidze said.

Tbilisi City Court has announced decision into Khorava Street case today. One of the defendants, who was charged for premeditated murder of two teenagers, was found guilty in attempted premeditated murder of Levan Dadunashvili and announced not guilty in premeditated murder of Davit Saralidze. As for the second defendants, the charge against him has been re-qualified. He was accused in attempted murder; as previously he was charged for premeditated murder. The verdict of the judge was followed by the noise outside the City Court building.
