Zurab Japaridze’s new party to be called Girchi – More Freedom

The new party of Zurab Japaridze, Leader of Girchi Party, which has recently split into two parties, will be called Girchi – More Freedom.

Zurab Japaridze will be Chairman of the new party. According to Zurab Japaridze, the new party will be an open platform for people.

“Girchi managed to attract many youngsters to politics lately. They have new initiatives and ideas, which I think, should be practiced, but I will stay aside from them” Zurab Japaridze claimed.

The opposition Girchi Party, which secured 3 mandates in the Georgian Parliament through the October 31 parliamentary elections, has recently split into two parties. However, like other opposition parties, Girchi continues boycotting the parliamentary work.
