Zurab Japaridze: Many should take to streets to stop foreign influence bill law, then many should turn out at polls

“By reintroducing the draft Law on Transparency of Foreign Influence, they decided to clean up the field before the elections, not to leave independent non-governmental organizations in the country,” said the leader of Girchi – More Freedom party, Zurab Japaridze, who believes “the danger is very concrete”.

“As EU plans enlargement in 2030, we have a chance to be a part of the enlargement pattern. Reforms in the judiciary, electoral, and anti-corruption systems are essential to achieve this goal. Implementing these changes means losing power,” Japaridze stated.

The opposition leader added that “many should take to the streets to stop this law, then many should turn out at polls.”
