UNM: Snap election to be red line

Members of the opposition National Movement Party stand firm on their position that snap election is a red line for the party and the only way to drive the country out of the current political crisis.

Zaal Udumashvili, a member of the National Movement, said that the party expects a rational proposal of the ruling team at the fifth round of negotiations. Otherwise, the “negotiations window would be closed.”

“It is not a whim of the opposition that we do not enter Parliament. There are hundreds of thousands of voters who supported us in the election stolen by the government. We are speaking about their mandates when we sit at the negotiating table,” said Zaal Udumashvili.

Members of the National Movement Party, who secured MP mandates through the October 31 parliamentary elections, believe that the elections were rigged. They renounced MP mandates and rejected to engage in the parliamentary work.
