Tbilisi Infectious Hospital - 16 patients test negative for COVID-19

The medical director of the Tbilisi Infectious Hospital Marina Ezugbaia, says 16 patients tested negative for the novel coronavirus (COVID-19). They will be taken to the quarantine zone.

Marina Ezugbaia added that currently 24 patients remain in the clinic. Today, pernasal swabs will be obtained from of these 11 patients.

Georgia has confirmed three cases of the novel virus.

According to the World Health Organization, the number of people infected with COVID-19 worldwide reached 90 870. Of these, 10 566 were reported outside China.

The virus has spread to more than 70 states.
